The AmScope T490B-DK features a trinocular viewing head with both a vertical camera mount and a binocular mount. It includes interchangeable pairs of 10x and 20x widefield eyepieces. The Siedentopf binocular head offers a 55 to 75mm interpupillary adjustment, a fixed 30-degree vertical inclination for comfortable viewing, and 360-degree rotation. A forward-facing nosepiece holds 4x, 10x, 40xS, and 100xS (oil) DIN achromatic precision-ground optical-glass objectives, providing accurate color correction for magnified images.
This composite dark field microscope utilizes brightfield/darkfield halogen illumination with a rheostat for precise light intensity control. It is equipped with a 1.25 NA Abbe condenser, an iris diaphragm, and rack-and-pinion focus control, which ensures clear examination and optimal light management. The unit also includes a double-layer mechanical stage with 1mm stage divisions and a stage stop. Graduated coarse and fine focus controls with tension adjustment prevent stage drift during observations.
